Homemade sauce + thin spaghetti + garlic Texas toast + ridiculous amounts of Parmesan cheese (I’m a fool for some cheap powdered Parmesan cheese and will not apologize for it).

Does anyone else make spaghetti sandwiches?

    I always make a spaghettti/meat sauce sandwich when I have this meal. I also will make like a taco if the garlic bread is thin! Yummm

    Yes- made a garlic bread/bolognese sandwich once and it was ungodly in a glorious way. I lost an artery.

    Pasta sandwiches in general are the goat!!! Marinara or cheese sauce it’s amazing. (Not a sandwich but carbonara pizza is the one for me)

    For a healthier option use two slices of pizza in place of the garlic bread.

  6. Dad used to make these for hunting season. 2 pieces of wonder bread buttered with a scoop of leftover spaghetti wrapped in tin foil. Can eat cold or heat on the heater vent. Very nostalgic meal.

  7. In a hungover stupor I once combined leftover spaghetti in the hot pan with scrambled eggs then dumped it all on a hoagie roll, and it was simply amazing.

    lol my posts on this sub are almost exclusively garlic bread + pasta monstrosities, I’ve done spaghetti, papperdelle bolognese, lasagna, and my personal favorite, chef boyardee ravioli

    If you’re making this while eating a spaghetti dinner, delicious. If you’re making this as a standalone sandwich without twirling some spaghetti on a fork first, you’re a freak. I don’t make the rules.

    When dining at East Side Mario’s, I cut one of their loaves of bread in half and hollow out the middle, then stuff it with the penne and eat it like that. It’s amazing.

    My grandfather used to make these. Whenever I make a sandwich with leftovers, I know he approves.

  20. My mom would make us these the day after spaghetti. We had the little sandwich grill that would close the bread together. They were crispy and perfect. I miss those.

    I used to make spaghetti sandwiches on spaghetti day in the cafeteria in elementary school, and I just did it at home about a week ago. It was amazing! I don’t use garlic bread, just buttered soft bread. Cuz there’s no way my school was ever giving us garlic bread, it was like square dinner roll.
